Obsidian scrub is a gentle yet effective exfoliating scrub with a dual action that keeps the pores clean to prevent blemishes from forming. Volcanic perlite works to physically exfoliate the skin, while the two acids improve the surface of the skin by dissolving the dead skins to reveal a smoother, more even complexion.
Suitable for all skin types, including normal, sensitive, oily and combination skin.
Activate the scrub with a small amount of water in your hand and massage the product into your face using circular motions. Leave on the skin for 1-2 minutes and enjoy the exfoliating sensation as perlite extracts work to smoothen out rough patches of skin, before rinsing off with warm water.
Pat the face dry and follow with Obsidian moisturiser during the day, and with Obsidian serum at night.
Although all Obsidian products have been developed to be gentle on the skin, exfoliators should not be used every day or on active breakouts. For best results, use twice a week and make sure to follow with an SPF to support the skin’s protective barrier.

Alpha Hydroxy Acid is a powerful exfoliant that in addition to removing dead skin cells can aid discoloration from scars and age spots, prevent acne breakouts and increase product absorption.
Salicylic Acid is an FDA-approved skincare ingredient used for the topical treatment of acne and is the only beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) used in skin care products. It is renowned for its ability to deep clean excess oil out of pores and reduces future excess oil production moving – making it perfect for oily skin that is prone to breakouts. Salicylic acid also exfoliates dead skin, and its anti-inflammatory properties make it a prime ingredient for those with psoriasis.
Volcanic Rock (Perlite) Perlite products are great at absorbing excess oils and moisture in the skin without drying it out. This can help to mattify the skin and reduce excess shine for a brighter, more even complexion. The perlites used in this exfoliant have been carefully developed using patented engineered technology which combine the natural hardness of the volcanic rock with the softness of these spherical particles to achieve a perfectly balanced, gentle physical exfoliation effect that doesn’t harm the skin
