Pimple Patches

A guide to Pimple Patches

DO: Put patches on white heads Does your pimple have a white center? It means it’s ready to pop any minute! Best to put a pimple patch on it so the gunk gets sucked out and the pores won’t get infected. DON’T: Leave pimple exposed after removing your pimple patch After a patch is removed, apply a second one to make sure all the gunk is taken out! This also gives the open pore time to heal. DO: Cleanse your face beforehand Make sure to apply the patch on a clean face so no dirt or oil is trapped under it along with the pimple. A clean, dry face is the perfect environment for your patch to succeed. DON’T: Apply a patch after your whole routine It’s best to apply a pimple patch right after cleansing so that it can target the pimple without other skincare products blocking it. DON’T: Leave the same patch on for more than 10 hours Pimple patches should stay on your skin for 6-8 hours! Any longer and the patches may start actually irritating the skin instead of helping it. DO: Use it on paper cuts If you don’t happen to have a band aid on hand, you can use a pimple patch as first aid to paper cuts and prevent it from getting infected. Some band-aid brands use hydrocolloid patches (the fancy name for pimple patches), to promote healing. DON’T: Remove patch with dirty hands Always have clean hands when removing a pimple patch! You don’t want to add germs to open pores or your clean face. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself starting the process all over again. Here is a our favorite Pimple patch box that work EVERYTIME.
