What inspired you to become a hair and make-up artist?
I cut my hair really short and everybody thought I looked more masculine, so I was inspired to start glamming up a little more.
What prompted you to transition from working in a salon setting to being an independent hair stylist?
My clientele was always quite busy and often didn’t have the time to go to the salon during regular salon hours. They prefer when I come to their place and just take care of them.
What year did you start working as a hairstylist?
What challenges have you faced throughout your career?
I have been fortunate not to have a lot of challenges other than those I have created in my own head.
What is the hottest hair trend at the moment?
I’m not into trends, you have to do what looks best on you. Healthy and well-groomed hair is always on trend!
Which hair product do you think every woman should have?
Mousse. It doesn’t matter if you have curly hair or super straight, there are different types of mousse.
What is your favorite DIY hair recipe?
A hair mask using avocado and mayonnaise for instant hydration.
What do you love about Beauty Tribe’s hair tools?
Efficient, convenient and did I mention pretty?
What products do you recommend pairing with the Jetset Hot Roller and why?
Mousse and hairspray. Prep the hair with mousse throughout your hair then blow dry, then set your hair with their Jetset Hot rollers then take them out when ready. Style as you like and then spray away.
